Point not of View don't even reply to an email which is shameful. Windows updates couldn't solve my problem and every time I seek support I am asked to go the manufacturers!!!
Why the assumption that there is something defective in Windows? I had to reinstall windows several times with the wishful thinking that the sound would get back to normal but it didn't happen. All this started after an update, regretfully.

Thanks Paul. I have Windows 10 Home 32 bit. I was told that is the remdy to my catastrophe. After an unfortunate update, my audio driver and sound card were deleted. I was advised to re-install Windows to get the driver back, but it didnt happen even after re-installing Windows several times.
I am an 80 year old lay person with very little IT knowledge. I assumed that once the Realtek driver is installed, the sound will come back. Sadly it is not the case. Now I have Windows 10 installed. Can I install Windws 11 and delete Windows 10? Will this happen automatically? Thanks again. The Sound Video Game usually is not there!
